Overview
DEV CABLE’s ESP cables are engineered specifically for the power-delivery demands of Electric Submersible Pump installations in oil and gas production wells. They operate reliably in the harshest downhole conditions: temperatures up to 232 °C, continuous contact with crude oil, brine, and hydrogen sulfide, and extreme mechanical tension during run-in and retrieval.
The cables are available in both flat (space-efficient for small-diameter casings) and round (higher current capacity) constructions, with a range of insulation and armor combinations to suit individual well profiles.
Construction Layers
- Conductor — High-conductivity copper or copper alloy, Class 2 or Class 5 stranding
- Insulation — EPDM or EPR compound rated to 232 °C in oil environments
- Jacket — Oil-resistant nitrile or thermoplastic rubber
- Armor — Single-layer steel or Monel tape, or corrugated metallic sheath
