Product Overview

Overview

DEV CABLE’s Pro Extension Cable Reels are purpose-built for demanding site power distribution where safety and durability are critical. Unlike domestic consumer reels, these units use heavy-duty H07RN-F rubber cable, an impact-resistant galvanised steel drum, and a built-in thermal overload cut-out to meet the requirements of contractors, rental companies, and facility managers.

The reels are compatible with certified regional plug standards — allowing the same model to be deployed across European, North American, UK, and Australian projects by simply specifying the desired plug configuration at order time.

Safety First: The Overload Protector

The integrated thermal cut-out monitors current draw continuously. If the load exceeds the rated amperage — due to a fault, overloaded sockets, or a damaged appliance — the breaker trips immediately and isolates the circuit. A manual reset button restores power once the fault is cleared.

Always unwind the full cable length before use. Wound cable on a loaded reel generates heat; the overload protector alone cannot compensate for bundled-cable thermal build-up.
