Welding cable built around the order
DEV CABLE supplies custom welding cable for buyers who need flexible order quantities and a configuration matched to a defined welding application. The cable is intended for secondary-side connections between a welding power source and the electrode holder or workpiece return path. Final suitability depends on the ordered construction, welding current, duty cycle, circuit length and operating environment.
Instead of forcing a small or specialized order into one fixed catalog specification, we review the required conductor, covering, length, identification and packing details before quotation. This approach is useful for distributors testing a market, equipment builders preparing a limited production run, and maintenance buyers replacing a defined cable.
What determines the correct configuration?
- Welding process and connection: identify the machine, electrode lead or return lead and whether cable-only or a finished assembly is required.
- Current and duty cycle: provide the maximum welding current and duty cycle rather than selecting by cable diameter alone.
- Circuit length: provide both lead lengths so conductor size and voltage drop can be reviewed for the complete circuit.
- Mechanical and environmental exposure: describe dragging, repeated bending, oil, water, sunlight, low temperature, heat and welding-spatter exposure.
- Destination market: state the required designation, standard reference, cable marking and supporting documents.
Standards are confirmed per quotation
Buyers may reference designations such as H01N2-D/H01N2-E, North American 600 V welding cable, JIS C 3404, KS C IEC 60245-6, or a Russian GOST requirement. These references describe different market expectations and are not interchangeable. A requested designation is treated as an RFQ requirement; the achievable construction, tests, markings and documentation are confirmed in writing before an order is accepted. No certification is implied by the generic product name.
Send these details for an accurate quote
Please include destination country, welding process, maximum current, duty cycle, cable length, conductor size if already specified, flexibility requirement, operating environment, color, marking, packaging, requested standard and required inspection documents. Also state whether you need cable only or leads fitted with connectors, an electrode holder or a work clamp.
Can I order a small quantity?
Yes. Low-MOQ custom enquiries are a core focus. The practical minimum is confirmed after reviewing conductor size, material, marking and packaging requirements.
Can one welding cable specification be sold worldwide?
Not reliably. AWG-based 600 V products, European H01N2 types, Japanese WCT-family cables, Korean 60245 KS IEC types and Russian designations use different conventions. Specify the target market first.
How is cable size selected?
Selection should consider current, duty cycle, total circuit length, ambient conditions and allowable voltage drop. Send these values with the RFQ rather than relying only on a nominal ampacity table.
